Terms of use

Last updated: October 7, 2026

1. Purpose and acceptance

These terms govern the use of the website wewed.live and of the services of Iñaki Vázquez Romera (“WeWed”): the user account, the editor, and the published wedding invitations and websites. Purchases are also governed by the terms and conditions of sale, and the processing of personal data by the privacy policy.

Using the services implies accepting these terms. Anyone who does not agree with them should not use the services.

2. User account

Buying and editing require an account with a valid email address and a password. To create one, users must be over 18 and provide accurate information.

The account holder is responsible for keeping their password confidential and for the activity carried out with it. Any unauthorised use must be reported immediately to hello@wewed.live.

The account can be deleted at any time from Settings. Deleting it irreversibly erases the associated invitations and websites, their content and the guests' responses, even if the hosting period has not ended.

3. User content

The user is solely responsible for the texts, photos and other content added to their invitations and websites, and guarantees that:

  • they own the rights to that content or are authorised to use it;
  • they have the consent of the people who appear in the photos or whose data they include;
  • the content is not unlawful, defamatory, offensive or discriminatory, and does not infringe the rights of others.

Published invitations and websites can be seen by anyone who has the link. The user decides who to share it with.

The user keeps all rights to their content. They only grant WeWed a free, non-exclusive licence, limited to the time the content is hosted, to store it, adapt it technically (for example, resizing photos) and display it, for the sole purpose of providing the service. WeWed will not use customers' content for promotional purposes without their express permission.

WeWed may remove content or suspend the publication of an invitation or website when it has actual knowledge that it is unlawful or breaches these terms, informing the user whenever possible.

4. Prohibited uses

It is not permitted to:

  • use the services for unlawful purposes or to send advertising or unsolicited communications;
  • access or attempt to access other people's accounts, data or systems;
  • introduce viruses or harmful code, overload the service or interfere with its operation;
  • extract content by automated means, or copy, resell or redistribute the designs or the editor;
  • impersonate another person.

5. Intellectual property

The designs of the invitations and websites, the illustrations, animations, the editor and the rest of the website's elements belong to Iñaki Vázquez Romera or are used under licence.

With the purchase, the customer obtains a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the chosen design in their own invitation or website during the hosting period. This licence does not allow copying the designs or using them outside WeWed or for commercial purposes.

6. Guests' data

When a wedding website collects guests' responses, the couple who own it are the controller of that data and WeWed acts as processor. This section constitutes the data processing agreement required by article 28 of the GDPR.

Subject matter and duration: storing the responses sent through the attendance form and making them available to the couple, while the website is hosted or until the couple deletes their account. Type of data: whatever the couple asks for in the form (by default, name and attendance). Data subjects: the guests.

WeWed undertakes to:

  • process the data only to provide the service and according to the couple's instructions, which are those resulting from their use of the editor;
  • ensure that the people authorised to process it have committed to confidentiality;
  • apply the security measures described in the privacy policy;
  • use only the providers listed in the privacy policy, whose involvement the couple authorises; any change will be notified and the couple may object to it;
  • help the couple handle guests' requests to exercise their rights and meet their own security obligations;
  • notify the couple without undue delay of any security breach affecting that data;
  • delete the data when the service ends (when the account is deleted, or 3 months after hosting ends without renewal); before that, the couple can download it as a CSV file from their account;
  • make available to the couple the information needed to demonstrate compliance with these obligations.

The couple is responsible for informing their guests about the processing of their data and for having a legal basis to collect it, especially if they ask for special categories of data, such as allergies or other health information.

7. Availability of the service

WeWed strives to keep the service continuously available, but may interrupt it temporarily for maintenance, updates or technical reasons, giving advance notice where possible.

WeWed may improve or change the editor's features, provided the essential features of the product purchased are not reduced. Keeping a copy of the photos and texts used is recommended.

8. Suspension and termination

WeWed may suspend or close an account, or remove an invitation or website, if the user seriously breaches these terms, in particular those on content and prohibited uses. Unless urgency or the law prevents it, the user will be told the reason and given the opportunity to respond.

9. Liability

WeWed is not responsible for the content published by users, for how third parties use the links shared, or for damage resulting from use of the services contrary to these terms. The user will hold WeWed harmless against third-party claims caused by the content they publish.

Nothing in these terms limits the rights that the law grants to consumers.

10. Communications

Communications between WeWed and the user will preferably be by email, to the address associated with the account. WeWed's electronic records (orders, publications and communications) may be used as evidence of the operations carried out.

11. Changes to these terms

WeWed may change these terms to adapt them to changes in the service or the law. The new version will be published on this page with its date and, if the changes are significant, users will be notified by email reasonably in advance.

12. Severability

If any clause is declared void or unenforceable, the rest of these terms will remain in force, and the affected clause will be replaced by one that comes as close as possible to its purpose.

13. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by Spanish law. Where the customer is a consumer, the courts of the consumer's place of residence have jurisdiction. Consumers resident in another European Union country keep the protection given to them by the mandatory rules of their country of residence.
